Will Arkin Awarded $1,000 Dye Family Scholarship
First Tee – South Central Wisconsin is thrilled to announce that Will Arkin has been awarded the $1,000 Dye Family Scholarship. A dedicated member of the First Tee program since the age of seven, Will’s passion for golf and commitment to the community have made him an exemplary recipient of this honor.
Will’s golfing journey began under the guidance and encouragement of former Lead Golf Coach and PGA Professional Brad Munn, who ignited Will’s love for the game. In addition, he credits PGA Professional and First Tee Coach Bill Kokott for fostering his strategic thinking and elevating his gameplay to new heights.
Giving back as a volunteer and coach
A 2024 graduate of LaFollette High School with an impressive 3.9 cumulative GPA, Will has generously given back to the First Tee community as a volunteer and coach, inspiring younger generations. He has engaged in fundraising efforts for the athletics department at his high school and is grateful for the opportunity to help future athletes have a better experience in high school athletics.
Inspired by his father’s mantra to, “Leave things better than you found it,” Will is committed to growing the game of golf and introducing it to diverse communities. His enthusiasm for sharing his passion with others is truly commendable.
Wishing Will Arkin continued success
The Dye Family Scholarship recognizes outstanding young golfers who exemplify the values of the First Tee program and have a history of “giving back.” Will plans to attend the University of Wisconsin at Stout this fall, where he hopes to continue his journey by playing collegiate golf. We congratulate Will on having been selected for the Dye Family Scholarship and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.
